Run the setup.exe you can find in that folder.

Decompress the downloaded driver and copy the modded inf into that folder.Ħ. Restart and boot to the regular desktop.ĥ. Run Driver Sweeper and maybe even CCleaner.Ĥ. In order to use the 182.08, for example, you have to do this:ĭownload both the driver (182.08) and the modded inf for your OS version (XP/Vista, 32-Bit/64-Bit) from here: ģ. A great web site for these modified drivers is: In order to use the latest (or any other) driver with your GeForce 7000M, you have to use a so-called modded inf. I have done this kind of thing on MY desktop PC but have never tried with a laptop.Īnother great tool, also developed by Unwinder, the creator of RivaTuner, is EVGA's Precision Tool. I know how to monitor the GPU temp and check for artifacts etc, and have made a design for an air cooler that I might use if needed, but there is no point in building it if I can't adjust the clock speeds.

Currently.ĭoes anyone know if there are drivers for XP for this chipset that RuvaTUner will work with? OR, alternatively, another overclocking utility that would allow me to tweak the clock speeds? I thought I would try RivaTuner to gently tweak the GPU and GRAM clock speeds but RivaTuner 2.24 (latest as of March 2009) does not support the 7000M drivers. I changed some settings in the Nvidia contral panel and managed to improve his FPS on WOW quite a lot but they are still rather poor. I found out that the chipset was actually only designed for Vista but I managed to reformat and install XP (had to load some dirvers manually) and Windows update managed to find working drivers for the videocard. Does anyone know if there exists special drivers for the NVIDIA GeForce 7000M / nFOrce 630m chipset?
